Dogwood Logistics believes that everyone has a responsibility to share their vision, time, talent and expertise with others– to reach out, to serve and to make a difference. We believe that while it’s relatively easy for companies to write a check and take the tax deduction, it’s more challenging to donate “Time and Talent” of its people and of its leadership team.
Our people are active volunteers for veteran’s advocacy groups, youth development groups and service organizations, speak in colleges, high schools and youth groups, fly cancer patients to appointments and just generally reach out to others. It’s a big part of “who we are”!
Our people know how to roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty– you never know where you’ll find some of our staff on any given weekend.
We believe that service to others, not just profits in our pockets, determines who we are as people, and as a company. We believe it’s still possible to make a buck and be a decent human being.
Marcus Aurelius (121-180 AD) once said about serving others, “Live not as though there were a thousand years ahead of you. Fate is at your elbow; make yourself good while life and power are still yours.”
